Take 2, Day 28 – New larger larvae

by NJ Ant FanPosted on August 8, 2020August 8, 2020

When I checked up on my queen ants, Scar Smile and Onetenna, here is what I found; larger larvae!

Scar Smile and her larvae

Onetenna and her brood

Onetenna’s larvae

Onetenna has more larvae than last week, and one is older than the others. The older one is larger then the other larvae. My prediction is that on days 42 or 56 workers will arrive. Then, on day 49 or 63, I will move them into their new nests. Will pupae arrive next week? Stay tuned to see what I find next week.
