Lasius Neoniger – Insane Brood!!!!!!

by NJ Ant FanPosted on March 28, 2021March 28, 2021
What the!

Well, one day this week I looked into this Lasius neoniger ant’s nest chamber, and found the craziest brood pile ever! I was able to count an insane 40 eggs!!! There are probably a few more, possibly 50 eggs in total. She also has some very tiny larvae, but they’re extremely hard to see. The fact that this ant has so much brood is an excellent indicator that she is fertile and will found a healthy colony. She also deserves a name, so could you please vote?

What should we name this Lasius neoniger queen?

  • Mrs. Prolific (29%, 2 Votes)
  • Crazy Queen (14%, 1 Votes)
  • The Egg Spammer (0%, 0 Votes)
