Take 2, Day 133 – Trophallaxis!

Onetenna performing trophallaxis with two of her nanitics!

A few days ago, I took an awesome photo of Onetenna performing trophallaxis. It shows two nanitics feeding Onetenna at the same time! The food I fed them is Sunburst Ant Nectar. Onetenna goes crazy over this stuff. She also has brood, which you can see below the queen. They are plump-ish larvae that will likely brumate through the winter, but they may become pupae.

Scar smile and her nanitics feeding.

Scar Smile has been okay, and I fed her today. I also gave her Sunburst Ant Nectar, which she likes. To do this safely, I used a Q-tip end covered in the food to feed them. That way, there is virtually no way they can drown in the food. Her nanitics swarmed the food, and they fed for a little while. Scar Smile seems to be healthy, along with Onetenna.

Below is a video of trophallaxis. Enjoy!
