Winter Ant Queens – Pupae

by NJ Ant FanPosted on June 11, 2023June 11, 2023
2 Prenolepis imparis queen ants with brood, including pupae
My two Winter ant queens with their brood pile. One of the pupae is visible underneath the foreground queen.

When I looked at my winter ant queens this week, I spotted their first two pupae. Now that there are pupae, I shouldn’t have to wait much longer for nanitics to finally arrive. When they do, I will have to feed them, which will be nice.
