Take 3, Day 63, Nanitic Unfolding!

Well, I finally identified these queen ants. These ants are the species SOLENOPSIS CAROLENSIS. I was in an Outschool ant class, and we tried to identify these ants. During the class, I looked at a picture of a Solenopsis Carolensis queen, and she was identical to Mother Ant and Micro Chicken. I concluded that these ants are the same species.

As a side note, I have other queens that don’t have names. Today I took a random look into an unnamed queens’ tube, and somehow caught her in the act of unfolding her first nanitic! I did not know that the queens unfold the nanitics during the founding stage. I thought the nanitics unfold themselves, but I was wrong.
