Take 2, Day 2 – Even more queens

by NJ Ant FanPosted on July 13, 2020July 18, 2020

The next day, at some point in the morning, my mom told me that she had caught an ant under a plastic cup in our driveway. So I came over with a test tube and sure enough, under the cup was a queen ant! I managed to catch that queen as well and here she is.

Here is the queen that my mom found and trapped under a plastic cup.

The queen in the lower image is the one that I caught from the lane and has a vampiric mite on its leg.

This queen is the other one that I caught, and it had a bloodsucking mite on its back left leg.
