Today I decided to give my largest Nyladeria faisonensis colony some beetle jelly, and they went berserk over it. Roughly ten minutes earlier, I had given them a piece of mealworm, but they did not seem too interested in it. Therefore, I decided to give them the jelly. A few minutes after placing the jelly in their outworld, I returned to see if anything had happened, and saw more than ten ants feeding on the jelly blob!
Overall, ever since I caught this colony a few weeks ago, they have been doing well, with their numbers holding steady. The queen’s gaster has expanded noticeably, and they have seamlessly adapted to their new home.
