Crematogaster colony!

by NJ Ant FanPosted on June 6, 2021June 6, 2021
This is my new Crematogaster cerasi colony.

So, the day after I released the post on my Lasius colonies, I discovered that this Crematogaster Queen was no longer alone in her nest! At the time, she had one nanitic, but that has quickly increased to six nanitics! The nanitics are tiny compared to the queen, who is eight millimeters long. This colony has also had their first meal, which was mealworm pieces. They are quite healthy at the moment, and they seem to love mealworms.
