Three of the queens with eggs

When I checked the queens for the third time, things were just like the previous week. The current status is: 2 down, 4 alive and with eggs. Soon, in a few weeks, the workers will finally arrive. This first round of workers are known as nanitics, and are weaker, smaller, and are more timid than the normal workers.

I cleaned out the test tubes that had dead queens in them for reuse as extra water and sugar water sites for when the colony is a bit larger. Currently, all is well, and I have a name for my ant colony: The Pavement Empire. The reason for this name is because i caught the queens on the pavement, but they are in separate test tubes so they do not fight.
