Take 2, Day 77 – Plump Repletes

by NJ Ant FanPosted on September 27, 2020September 27, 2020
No wonder I rarely see them in the foraging area
Scar Smile’s colony today. There are several very plump repletes.

When I checked Scar Smile, I noticed some really bloated repletes. This explains why they have not been foraging in the outworld lately. They could last for over a week in there now. They seem pretty happy in their test tube nest at the moment.

Onetenna with her nanitics and brood

Onetenna has several small larvae and a pupa. They are doing well despite their queens’ injury. The pupa has darkened in color, which means it is close to becoming a new worker. For some reason, they like to change the position of their brood. One day it will be on the floor of the tube, the next, it will be almost at the ceiling. Nothing else is happening with them. See ya next week!
