Day 50 – I messed up

by NJ Ant FanPosted on July 12, 2020July 18, 2020

On day 50, I noticed that the heating mat was quite warm, so I checked the tubes, and the ants were dead. The reason was, the heating mat cooked them. I was not happy at all. It was not all bad, because that same day, I went hunting for queen ants, and caught three that day, and two more the next day. Anyway, here is a close up photo of a dead pupa so you can spot them in your colonies, or find them in my new brood piles.
