Take 3.5, Day 63 – Really fat ant

by NJ Ant FanPosted on October 11, 2020October 13, 2020
Winged queen ant
Here is the same queen on the day I caught her
Queen ant with nanitics and brood
WOAH! that is one really juicy looking queen ant

Well, this was unexpected. I had a good ol’ peek into their nest, and I saw that the queen had been eating a lot. Her gaster was absolutely huge! She has been feeding on honey and mealworm, and she loves it! She looks in great shape to get through the winter.
