Take 2, Day 84 – Attempting to move the colonies

by NJ Ant FanPosted on October 4, 2020October 4, 2020
Here is Onetenna’s test tube and nest with the colony in the test tube
Onetenna with her nanitics and brood. The brood consists of eggs and larvae. Her 5th nanitic is out of view, but nearby

Well, Onetenna and Scar Smile are both out of water, so I connected them to new homes. Onetenna is going to move into my founding acrylic nest, while Scar Smile is moving into a new test tube. There are sadly no photos of Scar Smile, but she’s fine. Both of them are very stubborn, but they have no real choice other than to move. If they do not move, they will sort of freeze-dry, which would kill them. Even in winter, they still need humidity in their nest.
